Description:

NTT DATA Services is looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role is highly focused on Data Warehouse, ETL, and data migration testing. You will be responsible for executing end-to-end data validation queries to compare legacy source systems against modern cloud data platforms. You will play a crucial role in validating data consistency, verifying complex transformation business logic, tracking defects, and working closely with developers to support root-cause analysis during major platform migrations.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Software Testing/QA, with at least 2+ years dedicated to Data Warehouse or ETL testing.
• Excellent SQL skills to write complex validation queries involving multi-table joins, window functions, and heavy aggregations.
• Practical experience testing on cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks, alongside familiarity with traditional ETL tools like Informatica.
• Exposure to dbt (Data Build Tool) or a strong willingness to learn dbt-based models and validation workflows.
• A solid understanding of core data warehouse architectures, including facts/dimensions, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs), and source-to-target mapping logic.
• Experience using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA to log anomalies, capture data samples, and manage defect lifecycle workflows.
